Neighbourhood Conversation

Following on from our September Neighbourhood Forum we have organised a neighbourhood conversation to discuss further the 200+ shortfall in secondary school places in East Bristol for 2021 intake.

Deadline to applying for secondary places is fast approaching. If you are about to apply for a secondary school place and live in BS5, this event will be really helpful in understanding your options. We’ll be joined by:

  • Ian Bell (School Place Planning Manager) and Alison Hurley (Director, Education and Skills) will give an update on the Oasis Academy planned for Silverthorne Lane.
  • Representative from BCC Admissions team will explain the process this year.
  • Parents from BS5 Secondary Education Forum will represent views of local parents.
  • Cllr Ruth Pickersgill will Chair the meeting.
