This class is for everyone who would like to discover ways to stretch and strengthen their bodies whilst living with chronic pain. Everyone is individual and faces different challenges; you will be encouraged to discover what works for you, and to develop confidence in moving despite the pain. Suitable for beginners as well as those with yoga experience, options will be given for those who prefer to practice either sitting on the floor or on a chair. Gentle movements focus on uniting body and breath and releasing tension. There will also be plenty of time for relaxation!
I specialise in teaching yoga for arthritis and chronic pain, and I have been practicing, teaching, and training yoga teachers for many years. I am also a student physiotherapist and exercise referral specialist. I live in Easton, near Felix Road Playground, and I’m looking forward to meeting some of our local community online!
What to bring
You will need a sturdy chair (dining room type) or a yoga mat/blanket if you are practicing on the floor. You will also need a strap/belt/dressing gown cord/tie and any extra blankets or cushions you have around will be helpful.
