Felix Girls is a fun space for girls to be themselves, explore the playground and have free rein of the space to explore and build confidence.

Fridays, 3.30 to 5.30pm

Felix Girls is a weekly play session specifically for girls, on Fridays 3.30 to 5.30pm. These sessions are run by female playworkers for local girls to play and relax. Felix Girls is a fun space for girls to be themselves, explore the playground and have free rein of the space to explore and build confidence.

The group is very active, the girls often play football the whole session or practice learning to ride their bikes. The children direct the play and do what they want to do when they come to the playground. We have plenty of facilities and materials for children to do a variety of arts and crafts, sports, and building activities, indoors or outdoors.

WE ASKED SOME OF THE CHILDREN WHY FELIX GIRLS IS IMPORTANT TO THEM
“It’s fun and I have a good time with my friends, and we do cool stuff”
“My favourite thing is drawing, playing on the structure, and being with friends.”
“Boys are very annoying and take over sometimes, girls are annoying too but I can tell them not to be.”
“I get to play lots of football.”
“I usually come here with my brothers, both are autistic. It gives me a chance to relax and have some time alone.”
After Felix Girls DigiLocal runs Coding Club between 5.30 to 6:30pm Register your interest and find out more
Girls over eight can come along unaccompanied or under eights with female carers. Dads and male carers will be asked to drop off and pick up (as long as the child is 8+).

We welcome trans and nonbinary children who may feel more comfortable in a girls-only space.
