This is a really exciting time to join our passionate and inspiring team who are committed promoting participation and improving equality of opportunity across Easton and Lawrence Hill. We are looking for a finance professional to join our board of trustees. We need your financial expertise to oversee and advise us on financial decisionmaking and help us navigate the financial challenges that arise as result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the organisation moves into a new era it’ll be an opportunity for you to play a piviotol role as we implement a new vision, three-year strategy, enlarged our staff team, develop our constitution and membership structure.

5-10 hours per month – current zoom meetings monthly in the evening

Three locally rooted charities in East Bristol: Up Our Street, Easton Community Centre and Felix Road Adventure Playground, have merged to become one organisation aiming to make Easton and Lawrence Hill a place of possibility for everyone.

A new board made up of members of the three existing organisation boards has formed but is looking to increase the skills and capacities relating to financial management. This is an exciting time for the organisation as it looks to implement a new vision, three-year strategy, enlarged staff team, constitution and membership structure.

The organisation boasts a range of assets including an adventure playground, a community centre and four retail shops. It delivers a community magazine to 13,500 homes and carries out research, community development projects, events and communications aimed at promoting civic participation and improving equality of opportunities across the Easton and Lawrence Hill wards.
