Welcome to Eastside Community Trust. We provide people of all ages with  places and ways to connect. We are passionate about our community and putting local people in control so together we can build healthy and happy neighbourhoods. We inform and inspire action  in  Easton and Lawrence Hill making  East Central Bristol a place of possibility for everyone.

We have a new name and new look but there are lots of things that haven’t changed. We are still using the name Felix Road Adventure Playground for the playground and the community centre will still be Easton Community Centre. Our magazine will still be called Up Our Street. You will still see the same faces at the playground and a familiar team delivering our community projects.

We have also welcomed some new faces to our team – Becky Whitmore is our new Communications Coordinator, Tracy Edwards-Brown joins us an Engagement and Research Coordinator, Abiir Shirdoon is our new Trainee Engagement Worker and Rob Warren is our new Facilities Coordinator. We have a new board of trustees, made up of familiar and new faces.

“It has been a lot of hard work by all involved to get here and I want to thank the staff, trustees and our legal teams for getting us to this point. We never imagined we would begin life as Eastside Community Trust during such unprecedented times and it has been challenging for us all. However, it has not dimmed our ambition and has only made us more resolved to be here for the community long into the future.” Stacy Yelland, CEO

What’s the plan?
We want to build on our solid foundations to create an organisation that has real impact while maintaining the services that we do well and ensuring a legacy long into the future. We’ve worked with the local community, staff and trustees to create a new plan for the future. We will be sharing this plan in the coming weeks.

We are now one team working together to create a place of possibility for all and we can’t wait to get started. We are in the process of developing our membership so that as many local people as possible can engage and be active in our work. We want to be as inclusive and welcoming to all residents in Easton and Lawrence Hill and we are open to feedback and suggestions on how we do this.

We will have a new website in the next month where you will find all three organisations under one online ‘roof’. For the time being you can find contact details, events and activities here and on our social media pages Facebook, @EastsideBristol @felixroadventure @EastonCommunityCentreBristol and Twitter, @upourstreet
