In 2022 we conducted a consultation about what members of the local community would like from Easton Community Centre. One answer popped up time and time again – please open Easton Community Centre on a Saturday.
You spoke, and we have listened. This autumn, 2023, we are pleased to announce that we are opening the doors of Easton Community Centre on Saturdays. Not only can you come in, relax among the plants and enjoy our usual range of books, computers, children’s toys and facilities, but we’re also offering a programme of events and activities for you and your family.
1st Saturday of the month
Kick off your month with a bit of a revamp – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle with Easton Repair Café from 10am to 12pm. Volunteers from the repair café will help get your broken small electrical items, torn textiles, stuck parts and cracked goods back up and running, good as new.
AND
Everyone Makes It – our new art and craft session, in these facilitated art sessions, Everyone Makes It invites you to develop your ideas, enjoy experimenting and encounter the unexpected through rich art-making creations. Everyone Makes It caters for all ages and abilities, starting at 10am and ending at 2.30pm, £2 per family/group – come and join them in the Main Hall.
2nd Saturday of the month
Mark the halfway point in the month with a relaxing making session. Craft to Connect is our social craft group for adults, taking place on the second Saturday of the month from 2.30 to 4pm. Bring along your own project or try out a different craft technique every month. Join in, make some new friends and create something for yourself or learn how to make a home-made gift. £2 per person to cover materials.
3rd Saturday of the month
Looking for something to entertain the children on the weekend, that is fun, affordable and educational? Look no further! For just £2 per family, children can get stuck into Lego Club with Gincandesence. Children will be gently led and encouraged to create and design using Lego to build worlds, imagine stories and explore how things work.
4th Saturday of the month
Family Film Club! As the month draws to a close, bring the whole family to Easton Community Centre from 10am for a family – friendly film.
Weekends with the family this Autumn and Winter can be fun and affordable. Come along and join in.
