Understanding wellbeing through community research in Easton and Lawrence Hill
In 2017, we commissioned a team of researchers to undertake a study of wellbeing in Easton and Lawrence Hill. Our research team collected responses from nearly 600 local people to understand what wellbeing means to people’s lives in our neighbourhood. The team of researchers recruited from our community were trained by the University of Bristol in co-produced community research methodology. Their aim was to speak to a representative sample of our diverse local community in order to discover what was important to local people. This was a really important piece of research which helped us to shape our thinking as an organisation about our priority actions. Our focus on parks and green spaces, our environment, children and play are drawn from reoccurring themes in this research.
We want to thank everyone who took part in the survey and who gave their time to help us with this research. If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to get in touch.
