BDEF joins Easton Community Centre

We’re thrilled to welcome a new tenant to Easton Community Centre – BDEF has officially moved in!

BDEF is a disabled people’s organisation led by and for disabled people. Their work focuses on tackling inequality, raising awareness, and making Bristol a truly inclusive city for everyone. From campaigning on accessible transport and housing to supporting individuals to have their voices heard in decision-making, BDEF plays a vital role in ensuring that disabled people’s experiences and rights are recognised and respected.

Having such an active, values-driven organisation under our roof is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Watch the introduction video below from BDEF Director Megan Belcher:

“We’re so pleased to have Bristol Disability Equality Forum join us at Easton Community Centre,” said Stacy Yelland, CEO of Eastside Community Trust. “Their commitment to inclusion and equity fits so well with our own values, and we know their presence will strengthen the wider community here. We look forward to working together and learning from each other.”

As part of the vibrant community at Easton Community Centre, BDEF will be able to connect with other groups, run activities, and have a welcoming and accessible base to continue their fantastic work.

If you’re dropping by the centre, do keep an eye out for BDEF’s events and campaigns  – and give them a warm Easton welcome!
