Threefold is a performance company for 7 to 17 year olds based at Easton Community Centre.

Company members are divided into three different age groups. Company 1 (7 – 10), Company 2 (11 – 13) and Company 3 (14 – 17). Company 1 for, primary aged children, launched last year and the next stage is due to emerge soon.

The sessions are fun, fast and exciting, driven by narrative. Each term the children immerse themselves in a different story, exploring a different part of that tale each week, looking at characters and environments in the
story through playful exploration.

It’s not all singing, acting and dancing

Threefold is different from other drama groups in that the children get to explore their own interests. A child might be more interested in sitting on the sidelines writing or drawing ideas for a stage set. Part of the learning is about how do you have an idea and make that happen? Writing, directing, set design, costumes, production are all important parts of the process that children can explore.
