People who live, work and spend time in Easton and Lawrence Hill are being invited to help shape the future of nature and green spaces in the area through a new Community-Led Nature Plan. The project aims to put local voices at the heart of decisions about how nature can thrive while improving wellbeing, biodiversity and community connections.
As part of the process, residents are encouraged to take part in the Easton & Lawrence Hill Community-Led Nature Plan Community Listening Survey. The survey provides an opportunity for people to share their experiences, priorities and ideas for nature, green spaces and environmental action across the neighbourhoods.
The survey is just one of several ways local people can get involved. Community members are also invited to attend Community Organising Training: Towards Our Easton and Lawrence Hill Nature Plan, which will support residents to build skills, connect with others and help lead conversations about the area’s environmental future.
In addition, the Easton and Lawrence Hill Nature Assembly: Co-designing Our Community-Led Nature Plan will bring residents together to discuss ideas, identify priorities and help create a shared vision for nature in the community.
Organisers hope the survey, training sessions and assembly will ensure the Nature Plan reflects the knowledge, experiences and aspirations of the people who know the area best.
Anyone interested in helping shape a greener, healthier and more nature-friendly future for Easton and Lawrence Hill is encouraged to get involved by completing the survey and attending the upcoming events.
