Eastside Annual Report 2025-26: Another Year of Community Connection

From adventure play and free meals to community events, wellbeing activities and climate action, Eastside Community Trust’s latest Annual Report highlights a busy and successful year supporting residents across Easton and Lawrence Hill.

Over the past year, Eastside recorded 12,901 attendances across its activities and venues, with 1,672 children attending sessions at Felix Road Adventure Playground and 1,670 adults taking part in activities at Easton Community Centre. The Trust also delivered 1,483 free holiday activity places for children eligible for free school meals and served more than 14,000 free meals through its Food at Felix programme.

The year marked several major milestones, including five years since the formation of Eastside Community Trust, celebrated with a community street party attended by around 200 residents. The organisation also launched its new Greening Eastside programme, welcomed new trustees and a new Chair, and secured funding to continue key community and environmental projects for years to come.

Residents continue to say that Eastside helps them feel more connected to their neighbourhood, with 92% reporting a sense of belonging and 92% saying Eastside events made them more likely to participate in community life.

In his foreword, Chair Paul Hassan reflects on the importance of trusted community spaces, while CEO Stacy Yelland celebrates Eastside as “a place where community thrives.” Together, the report paints a picture of a thriving organisation rooted in connection, inclusion and local action.
