Bianchis brings fresh new menu to Wavey Nights at Felix Road

New Partnership Brings Fresh Food and Fresh Energy to Wavey Nights at Felix Road

Young people attending Wavey Nights at Felix Road Adventure Playground will now be welcomed with freshly cooked meals thanks to a new partnership between Eastside Community Trust and Bianchis Group.

The collaboration connects one of Bristol’s most loved independent restaurant groups with one of Easton and Lawrence Hill’s most important community spaces, and it’s already making a difference.

The partnership is one of the first initiatives from Studio Bianchi, a new project from Bianchis Group focused on “serving social change”. Through a creative hub that uses food, media and storytelling to support charities and local organisations, Studio Bianchi aims to create meaningful community impact across Bristol.

“We are a restaurant group first,” says Ben Harvey. “But community has always been part of what we do.”

With the group’s kitchen located just behind Felix Road, the idea came naturally. “They told us food was a challenge. For us it was an easy win.”

Chefs in the Community

Staff from Bianchis will volunteer their time to cook meals for the youth sessions, with menus shaped by what young people actually want to eat. Meg explains that this approach reflects the group’s long-standing values.

“Bianchis has always done lots for the local community. We are very embedded in it and you can feel that in everything we do.”

Shaniem Biggs, Senior Youth Worker and Playground Coordinator at Eastside Community Trust, says the partnership is already having a real impact. “Food is such a big part of creating a welcoming space for young people. Having Bianchis on board means we can offer meals that feel special, made with care, and that show our young people they matter.”

A Bristol Story with Global Roots

Bianchis Group has deep ties to East Bristol. “We are Bristol boys, but with Italian and Indian heritage,” Ben says. “Food from all over the world shaped us, but Italian is our first love.”

That mix of cultures, flavours and community spirit is now being shared with the next generation at Felix Road, a place where food has always been about more than just eating. It’s about belonging, connection and care.

One young person summed it up perfectly after a recent session: “It just felt nice… like someone made this for us. And the garlic bread was banging.”

Eastside Community Trust is delighted to welcome Bianchis into the Wavey Nights family. The partnership brings new energy, new flavours and new opportunities for young people to experience good food made with heart.
