Welcoming New Faces to the Eastside Community Trust Team
We are delighted to introduce the newest members of the Eastside Community Trust team – Shane, Marcus and Laura – who each bring unique skills, experiences and energy to our organisation.
Shane – Caretaker
Joining us as Caretaker, Shane will be taking care of our facilities at Easton Community Centre and Felix Road Adventure Playground, helping to ensure the spaces are welcoming, clean and safe for all who use it. He comes to us with valuable experience, having previously worked at St Werburghs Community Centre and Trinity Centre. From keeping everything in working order to providing a friendly helping hand behind the scenes, Shane’s role is essential to the day-to-day life of our community hub.
Laura – Communications Manager (Job Share)
Laura brings a wealth of experience from her time at the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement. She has a strong background in community engagement, having also worked with Bristol City Council and Young Lives Vs Cancer. Now stepping into the role of Communications Manager (job-sharing with Marcus), Laura will be focusing on planning and delivering events, strengthening our outreach and helping us build meaningful connections with residents, partners and supporters.
Marcus – Communications Manager (Job Share)
Also joining us as Communications Manager is Marcus, who is no stranger to Eastside. Already a familiar face around Easton Community Centre, he’s spent many years working at BCfm Radio, one of our long-standing tenants. Marcus will be leading our public relations work and overseeing our digital communications. From managing the website to crafting engaging social media content, he will be helping to share the stories that matter across our community.
Please join us in giving Shane, Marcus and Laura a warm welcome. We’re excited about the journey ahead and all that we’ll achieve together for Eastside.
You can meet the rest of the Eastside team on the Our People section of our website page.
