Women of Colour Peer Support Group
One Tuesday a month – 22 April, 13 May, 24 June, 15 July, 19 August, 16 September, 14 October
10am to 12pm
Changes are happy to bring back the Women of Colour in-person group, this time at a new venue.
Women of Colour Peer Support Group is a supportive sharing group for women of colour, as well as those belonging to mixed heritage. Each month, the group will focus on a mindful creative activity, and in every session we will engage in something that helps our wellbeing. Research has proven the value of creative activity in healing and recovery. However, it is not compulsory to participate in the activity if you only want to share and listen. Every month a new activity will be introduced in the group.
We invite Women of Colour to join the group to benefit from the space where we share common struggles and successes as well as the experience of being marginalised. Sharing these experiences reduces the sense of isolation in our community. This in-person group is a safe space where we request attendees to be non judgemental and maintain confidentiality like all our other groups.
